The Omaha building code has been updated to specify that gas lines coming into a house need to be grounded. As a result this is showing up on home inspections. I have had two inspections this last week and on both houses it was noted that the gas line needs grounding. Luckily this is an inexpensive item to take care of. Both of my clients were able to have the work done, by a licensed electrician of course, for less than $150.
